And we've already been married a year!!!! It is has surely been the most amazing year of my life... I have my perfect mate to enjoy all of life's wonderful adventures with.. A lot of people say their first year is the hardest and, well ours wasn't... It was a walk in the park.. We had a blast and look forward to keeping it that way, FOREVER...

Tav is amazing, and I am one lucky lady.. He spoils me way too much with gifts and lots of love... And I hope he never stops making kissy noises when he gets off the phone with me.... I love you Tavvy Doo! Thanks for all of your love and the happiness you bring to the world.... Happy Anniversaryyyyyyyyyy!

My mom's sweet little dog got hit by a car today.. She was everyone's best friend...

My whole family is devastated.. We burried her in the yard and I got to hold her one last time.. She was such a pretty sweet little dog. I will miss seeing her everyday, and going on walks, and rubbing her belly, and playing with her puppies, and everything.. Love you ferg.

My dog, Bubba, is so sad and confused.. he goes all around my parents house looking for her.. (She was his madre.) I feel so bad for him, he just seems lonely because he usually sees her everyday she's the first thing he looks for when we come over. It is seriously like loosing a little part of your family.. We surely miss her. I hope we can find another little one to help fill the gap for everyone.. Once you have a dog it's hard to go without... No more pitter patter down the halls of your house and an excited hello when you walk in the door....

I have to tell a little story... My twin, Ali, lives up in Ogden and she was visiting her husband at work when Scotie called to tell her that Fergie died... Scotie was crying pretty hysterically so Ali thought it was Katie telling her that Scotie died. (Scotie & Katie are my little sisters) So Ali dropped to the floor in the mall and was basically screaming and crying... People were all gathering around her asking if they could help... She called me and asked frantically while crying, "What Happened?!?!?!?!?!" So for about 10 minutes Ali thought Scotie had died for real. It was real to her and was horrible... When Scotie called us I thought someone had died too so when it was fergie I was relieved.. But when I got to the house and saw her that was when it was sad... her lifeless limp body.. ahhh.. It is just horrible...

But we all learned and realized that this is really how fragile life is.. Someone in my family could have died just like that. And we need to love everyone we love in our life without hesitation without holding anything back.. Spend as much time as possible with those you love and show them your love. Love is an action, not something you just say.

I love, love. I love life. and I am thankful for all the love I have in my life.

Tav's family has been going to Carlsbad State Beach and camping since he was 7. It is one of my favorite trips I've ever been on! It is also where we got engaged last year.. It was the most surreal feeling. I remember the morning after he popped the question we went running and I just kept looking down at the ring like "I am engaged! Holy crapola!" It was amazing.. Ever since I met Tav, my life has just become more and more amazing everyday.. I love you Mr. Calico. You are my sunshine!

I love taking pictures, but lately I just haven't.. Maybe because I lost our camera. Good job Aims.. I know.. I'm an idiot. At least Tav makes sweet posts. :) Life is good. The weather is sunshining and I couldn't ask for anything else. Maybe just one little bikini body to swap for mine?? That isn't too much is it? But I was looking at our blog, it does look quite cool (thanks to tav) but we aren't talking about our own lives...

Tav is excited about working for Company Wake, and I am way stoked for him too. We can actually like work out together in the mornings, it is going to be sick! And I am working on having my own eyelash studio.. And maybe going back to school.. :) Both would be great. I do lash extensions here at work and lately I have been doing a bit at my house. I bought a massage table @ Costco and viola.. an at home eyelash parlor.. haha....

This weekend was so great we got to enjoy conference and enjoy this weather. We are in the process of making our house look awesome so we did a bit on the bathroom this weekend and our house just keeps getting better and better... umm, I mean home. I love our little home. And I love Tav.. He is the coolest husband I have EVER had!

Ali & Kavin got married about a month ago and it was amazing! She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen! They are living in Ogden with their little family of 3... Ali, Kavin, and Kya Lindgren. Kya is an 8ish week old yorkie. And is so adorable. I want another puppy! I love you Al and Kav! Congratualtions!!!

But for now, our own little family of 3 is more than I could ask for and I am so grateful!..

PILATES

The past few weeks I have been going to Pilates classes at actually 2 places in town. Both are great, but Pilates on Main has newer equipment and a more aggressive instructor. Pilates is AMAZING! I have gone to the classes 3x a week for the past 3 weeks! And I feel so much more healthy. I don't look it yet, but I sure do hope to! It is so good for your body. I am used to the "having to kill yourself workout" to feel like I am getting anywhere. Pilates can be challenging but it isn't bad on your joints and can really work every part of your body. I have done Pilates Videos and classes before (they are great), it is just a better workout when you're 1 on 1 or in small group classes. And on the reformer of course, which is the machine pictured above. It adds resistance to the regular pilates moves and just makes for a more intense workout. I am in love. And I hope I can keep doing these classes. If anyone is feeling like they have a little bit of February Frump, do Pilates! You will feel better!!!

Duh I can't do that pose, but I will! :)

I had a webinar today on inDesign CS3/CS4 which was totally awesome...and I had to give a shout out to the guys over at CreativeTechs cause i told them i would... they are awesome and I totally appreciate all of their hard work. They have helped me tremendously with some of the things they have taught, and the webinar was awesome today.. Jason Hoppe is the man. So thanks guys. CHRISTMAS was amazing...

Tav spoiled me and now I have my own mac. It is very exciting for me... I now have a computer that actually gets things done in a decent amount of time. He is too nice. And too amazing!

The Holiday season is a time to be thankful (year round should be as well) sooo I have to say my biggest blessing is definitely Tavish Dennis Calico.

Today we spoke in our ward and I was so nervous.. I typed out like two talks but neither of them were feeling right so Tav helped me actually speak from my heart... And 45 min before church I whipped out some quick notes and pulled of an okay talk.. Which is good enough for me! I loved preparing for the talk it taught me a lot. And of course Tav did a lovely lovely job. We were lucky enough to have today for our talks because mostly everyone was gone for the Holidays. So it wasn't quite as scary.

Unfortunately I have no sweet photos to post for you because we didn't really get any photos. We'll have to get a ton a new year's to make up for it!

And sadly Christmas came and went by so quickly, but I loved every moment of it. Now the hard part is that immediately after christmas I want it to immediately turn into spring.... So I must be patient...

Anyway Merry late Christmas everyone! I hope it was as wonderful for you as it was for me!

Alright. So I'm working on a project. It's a family improvement company that builds family relations through adventure based therapy, along with one on one meetings with professional therapists and a bunch of other stuff that helps families to be stronger. I'm trying to come up with a branding concept that will carry through there website, ads and anything they do. Here is the initial logo and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Maybe I shouldn't ask, but I figure it would be nice to get a little feedback from anybody that reads our blog...(all 3 people, I'm sure). Okay, so this picture is a little creepy but I like to have some visuals... It makes the posts nicer looking..

I just love this time of the year. The spirit is in the air. It's a beautiful rainy day in Saint George and this is one of those rainy days that I love. The drive to work today was so... magical (the only word I can come up with to describe it.) Although the streets were filled with cars, I felt as if the world was at a stop.. I could imagine myself dancing in the middle of 100 South without a care- the leaves falling around me with rain drops a falling on my head, head... :) Man it really was magical... I love this holiday feeling. I am completely happy...

Thanksgiving is always a fun time- time to see family, time to eat, time to get ready for CHRISTMAS!!! It always feels like in all the anticipation of Christmas you blink for one second and it all over with. Life can be like that. I just want to relish every moment I have with my beautiful husband, beautiful family, and wonderful friends... Tav & I have been talking alot about what WE want for Christmas over the last week, which is really exciting to think about all awesome things to get for yourself. But this morning on my magical drive I realized something, for the first time I honestly don't need any of that. The most rewarding thing I could do right now is make Christmas Merry for someone & everyone else. I don't want any gifts. If I need anything I can take care of myself..

I just hope everyone has a happy holidays and if there is anyone who feels like they don't have any friends or family to spend it with, come share mine and Tav's with us... I'm sure everyone has someone to be with but if there happens to be anyone PLEASE let me know. (amietavcalico@gmail.com) We'd love to share anything we have to offer. Okay, so I know Tav and I probably have a post everyday, but it is just so fun. It's like we are just writing to each other.. I love it.. But anyway....

Last night we went to Twilight!!! My dad & Tav were so kind as to come along with all the girlies. They were a couple of the very small percentage of males that were there. It was fun... Most of the time I was disappointed during the movie... As was to be expected.. Movies are rarely ever better than the based upon book. The mind's imagination is very extraordinary. Things can be so much more beautiful in our minds. But after a night's rest and a little bit of thinking, I decided that I actually love the movie. Despite some cheesiness, and it's inability to live up to the book, it was a great movie that I will most likely go see in the theater another time. You just have to look at it as a separate story.. And I think most people will enjoy it.. Tav liked it well enough. And he is kind of picky when it comes to movies, so that is a good sign. Despite the fact that some may not like this movie, it is just one you have to see for yourself.

is amazzzing! We are down in California this week for our late honeymoony. Right after we got married we went to sin city for a few days and my parents were so kind as to let us use their mariott timeshare and use it in Newport Beach. The place we are staying in is so nice. It is bigger than our house.. (not too hard to beat, but nonetheless...) The weather is perfect. It is so nice to just chill on the beach. I want to live in a cave down by the beach. I'd be happy. And so would Tav... as long as he had electricity to do his designing.... Maybe I could even do organic facials down in a cave... ?? It might really kick off?? haaha. I think not.

California is wonderful someday, someday I hope we can live here. So Tav keep being the amazing graphic designer you are and we can do it! It will be heaven.. A heaven of heaven because i am already in heaven right now. I love being with my best friend all the time. My life is happy. and I am thankful...

The only sucky part about this trip is that we freaking forgot to bring our longboards and skimboards. Both of which we love to do. Especially in cali. hello! So we will most likely be mad, angry, and just unhappy the rest of the trip because of it.

Loook how awesome my husband is. Our blog is sweet now. I love it and I love him. I just need to tell everyone that I am lucky to have this guy. Halloween was very very mucho dinero fun.. And this is our little family. we did not have coordinating costumes obviously but maybe I am old-fashioned Batman's girlfriend?? and to correct Tav, I was a 1920's flapper girl. The only kind of Flapper there is.. Last year, we were actually coordinating... So I'll have to post those pics. We were black cats. and we were on the prowl all night.. halloweening the night away.. I am excited for next year. and tomorrow and thanksgiving and christmas valentines etc etc... love, me+ai= amie

So for Halloween this year Aims and I had a good time.. we chilled with the family and scared little kids while they were trick or treating.... which surely makes for fun times..... Amie was a stunning 1950's flapper girl and looked A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! and naturally I was batman. But I wasn't the new batman... with his stupid technology... nope I had a homemade cape and even homemade insignia on my chest made out of only the finest construction paper.... and a black cape made from a bed sheet... it was amazing. We are amazing.

OKAY, SO I'M NEW TO THIS WHOLE WORLD OF BLOGGING... BUT I FIGURED IF WE ARE GONNA DO IT, THEN WE SHOULD DO IT RIGHT... SO I'M TAVISH DENNIS CALICO AND RIGHT NOW IT'S ALMOST ONE A.M. AND I CAN'T SLEEP.. IT'S HALLOWEEN AND MY WIFEY, AMIE CRASHED OUT AT ABOUT 11:24 AND SO I'VE BEEN BY MYSELF FOR THE LAST HOUR AND I AM JUST NOT TIRED!!... I EVEN WENT AND LAYED DOWN IN BED FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND FELT LIKE EVERY ITCH ON MY BODY AND COULDN'T STOP MOVING AROUND... SO I FIGURED I'D WRITE A FEW WORDS....

SO, BASICALLY I AM THE LUCKIEST PERSON EVER CAUSE I'M MARRIED TO AMIE... I THINK HER ONLY FLAW IS THAT SHE LOVES ME WAY TOO MUCH... (IF YOU CAN CALL THAT A FLAW) I MEAN SERIOUSLY.. UNTIL WE WILL BE MARRIED!!!! Woohoo! I am so extremely excited! Tav is an amazing guy and I am too too lucky. we're lucky. I never thought that I would find someone who I was so completely satisfied and happy with. It is an amazing thing..

side note: this blog is just for me to post pictures and journal stuff. for myself. i am sick of the other blog that everyone alive can see... :)

Anyway, our pictures were taken on Monday we went up to a disclosed location where there is an old abandoned hotel right by the railroad... we dressed up like a couple of old fashioneds.. They turned out beautifully. Steve Holm is an amazing photographer. And the funny thing is, the next day I went to Sand Hollow so these "guys" could get a good shot of a girl wakeboarding for Sand Hollow Resort and guess who the photographer was? Yep... Steve... He's great. Jamie & Huddy are great too! They make a good team.

Me & Tav put an offer on a house and after the second offer... he accepted! So we're getting a house!! YEEEHAW! Everything just comes together as it is meant to. I was meant to meet tav, to be friends with him, and to marry him, and we were meant to buy this cute little condo/home with our little dog bubba. I am very blessed. And I don't know what I did to deserve it. I love my husband (to be), I love my job (except when it's boring like right now), I love my family and Tav's family, I love the gospel, and I love saint george.

Life is a wonderful adventure!
